I have to agree with all about the wet stone. No sharpening contraption or diamond angled rods ever gave m he edge I want. If you know what your doing the old way is always the best.

Will have to agree, all it takes is time and patience. When I used to work 2nd shift I would come home, with everyone else in bed, and could spend 3 hours on just one knife.

I happened upon the best sharpening system in the world at SHOT last January. It is called Wicked Edge. HOLY CRAP. I had him do one of my knives and that SOB is still razor sharp. I have cut nylon rope, 550 cord, hemp rope, Card board boxes, I even used it to cut power cords with ease. After all that you could still shave with that knife.

That was what the guy at my LGS showed me. Nice but damn! Close to $400.00 with everything

The Edge Pro system is a very close second to the wicked edge.
