"Ballistic knives", also called "pilum knives" and "spetsnaz knives", are spring or CO2 loaded knives knives, that can fire their blade about 20 feet. These were famous for being The knife used by the Russian special forces, the Spetsnaz, but in reality, it was only prototyped, never issued. Florida Knife Co. Mad cheap copies of this knife and sold them in Amerca. They were banned shortly after, and now they can only be found (if you can find them at all), without the spring. However, there were baton and grappling hook version that are still legal.
From what I've heard, these knives are actually crappy.
Does anyone here own one or used one?

Seems 'gimmicky' IMO.. Would make a cool collectible if you could get an original, and a great convo piece, other then that a bit impractical at best.

The problem is not the problem, your attitude about the problem is the problem.
Understand?

I would love to have one for my collection, but they're illegal with the spring in them, not to mention extremely rare. You see videos of 13 year olds on YouTube who make cheapy ones all the time.
