@NGIB, I appreciate you commenting on this 'zombie thread' I'm with you on the hunting part, I've never been a hunter per se, but that is not to say I wouldn't be able to hunt if SHTF. The fact that you can retrieve the arrows and is silent does seem like it would be a big advantage, and something I had thought of before. Thanks for the intel

My 2c, I would go with kevlar arrows. Just as light and stiff as carbon, without the whole potential for exploding. Carbon does not show up on X-Ray, which neccesitates exploratory surgery if the pieces are in the arm...
