At home, I usually rely on the pits lined with punji stakes, the claymores with the trip wires, and during rainy season, 3 or 4 fougasse (2 of you are now looking up fougasse). And one little gray tomcat that will trip any intruder.

When out and about, well, you know, us seniors are broken down by age, abuse and neglect, and we do not ambulate as well as we used to- so we generally need some help. This one flies with me-

Not very readily do-able but highly effective... If you ever find yourself in need of an expediate multiplier, and all you have is a bottle of hot sauce. Rub /coat your fists and hands into the sauce and strike for the face.

That is the second best home defense weapon ever made!

An antisocial dog will dissuade even the most obnoxious antisocial person from invading your castle, but my dog's first job is to give me enough warning to get the sleep out of my eyes and grab the old 870 to assist him in his work.

That is true, the thing about Hoot is with his K9 training he will only bark when he hears someone or if im confronting someone with him on leash. He acts differently when off leash, theres teeth but no barking. If someone does ever break in,hopefully i can get to him before he makes to big of a mess on my carpet. He loves my kids too, its not wise to mess with them either.

Your not suppose to keep weapons by doors/windows. When a BG breaks in your house you just armed them..just somethin to think about.
