Although none of the guns I'v reviewed lived up to their velocity claims this one came the closest and the accuracy, wow, pretty good at 50 yards IMHO.
Oh well, just be glad when it gets here on Monday, hope we get some warm, dry weather so I can get out in the back yard and do some shooting. Also need to break out the Chrony and check the Vel. for myself too.
Holy crap I sould get one of those! Thats nice!
Edit: Anything from Benjamin is usally top notch!

Actually, at some point in time Benjamin and Crosman merged so it's actually made by Crosman, which still isn't bad. There's a pretty simple trigger mod you can do to get the trigger pull better or you can buy one of the Charlie The Tuna triggers but they're $40 and the mod only involves a washer(or something that'd be like it if you want to be more precise) so it'd be cheap or even free.

I bought a Benjamin Nitro. It literally fell apart in 2 weeks. Luckily I bought it from Walmart. I took it back for a refund. It was powerful and accurate but had a lifespan of about 500 rounds. At 75 yards I could shoot a squirrels eye out. But I like shooting, not taking the gun down and putting it back together after every tin of pellets.

Just got a Ruger Air Hawk .177 break open for Christmas. First shoot at 25 yards, 6 out of 12 pellets hit the target sideways. I shot Crossman SSP alloy pellets, they are cup nosed (yes I loaded them correctly). Any recommendations for ammo? Also just read that a decent pellet gun requires 100 shots for break-in before it can be properly sighted in. Who's got good feedback?

There's a 1 year warranty on em' so if it falls apart I'll send it back to Pyramyd Air for refund or replacement.

Any time a pellet goes super sonic(i.e approx. 1100fps) the little sonic boom it makes will disrupt it's flight. Move up to a heavier pellet that'll keep the velocity to around 1000fps and I bet your accuracy will improve greatly.

No problem pard, glad to help when I can.
I think the main "problem" with the Benjamin Trail NP isn't the gun design, it's in the quality control. I've read a lot of reviews where folks said it was the best gun they've ever owned and a handful where folks said it was total junk. It's almost like they're not shooting the same gun. That can only be because of poor quality control at the factory. You always here about the 1% or 2% that don't work but the 98% that are fine don't get print because folks just use em' and enjoy em' and don't say much about it.
First thing I'll do when I get my Benji is look it over then pull it apart and give it a good once over, especially the trigger area, to make sure there's no burrs and then put it back together and make sure all the screws are good and tight. Then I'll take it out back and put a few pellets through it to sight it in. If all goes well then I'll shoot it over the course of a week or so(weather permitting) and see what's what. I think I can find out in a week and about 200 pellets weather or not it'll be any good or not. If it's not up to snuff then I'll send it back for a refund or exchange for something different.

Since we don't have a dedicate area here to post in ya'll should check out this forum, it's pretty nice:

Been shooting my Trail NP a lot, lovin' it. Pellets are so inexpensive and you can still find them, unlike 22lr ammo which is like trying to find a Unicorn,LOL.
Here's a couple groups I've shot using a couple different pellets. I"m going to order some Beeman 15.2gr dome pellets to try out. $3.59/175, order 4 tins from Pyramyd Air and one of em' is free so you only pay for 3.
Also got the Multi-TAC dot sight as a replacement for the 3-9x50 CenterPoint that took a dump two days after I got the gun. Still have the Reflex Sight as a back up.
