Why Sudden Rise in Ammo?
What exactly determines the sudden rise in ammo nationwide? Not only are the prices rising quickly but some reliable online stores are simply out-of-stock on ammo. What gives?

It's an election year man, not only do we have a communist incumbent but we are getting stuck with a liberal leaning Republican canidate. I would say that is the problem. I was just at the gun show this last weekend and the prices on loading supplies were still in line with what I've found the last few years, with a good deal thrown in here and there.

doesnt help that every metal used in making bullets is rising in prices either. just like gas or food or any other commodity, the more osama obama prints money and spends more than the US govt takes in it devalues the dollar and prices of goods go up.

Yup like the others said: metal prices rising, incumbent liberal president who will likely go to town on guns and ammunition if not ousted and the fact that most republicans believe even the front runner there may be bad for guns. People are buying, so the supply is depleting as the demand increases. It will get worse for some time in my view. Those who have the stock to sell are storing a lot more for personal use or to take advantage of later higher prices. The supply has been under pressure for some time anyways, as less was available as a percentage from factory as interest has been increasing.
