What are you Favorite pistol bullets

What do ya'll use for pistol reloads. I really like the Hornady xtp line. I have also been loading Berry's and Rainier with pretty good success.

So for overall value and performance what is you fav?

Depends what I'm loading for....target from any of my pistols, I like Rainier or hard cast. For hunting out of my 357 or 44 I like Speer Deep Curl.

i only reload plinking and target shooting loads for handguns. i use berrys and rainer whichever is cheaper when i order. i dont handgun hunt deer sized game but i do handgun hunt rabbits with a 1911 i use plated 230 grn fmj for that just pokes holes killing the rabbit instantly.

i take that back i do use 300grn .429 jacketed soft points from speer in my ruger 44 carbine now and then. no one else offers a 300grn sp in 429

I have a Lee melting pot, a set of molds, and a couple of tire shops that remember the kindly old coot that shows up on a hot day with a cold six pack. Straight wheel weights make good plinking loads.

I'm with c3 too. I even pick up tire weights on the street when I take walks. All they are is wannabe boolits.

45 ACP for 1911--230 gr RN Bear Creek moly.
45 ACP for revolver--185 gr Berry's HBRN plated
9mm for Production and Single Stack divisions---147 gr Montana Gold CMJ
9mm for Open division--124 gr Precision Delta FMJ

Those 4 cover about 80% of my pistol shooting, around 20,000 rds/yr.

I say the hell with it and load Gold Dots for everything.
