One of the Mao-Marts in Lawton has redone its sporting goods section and it is smaller. They have put the ammo on shelves with sliding glass fronts. Yesterday they had lots of .22 LR, 9mm, 40 S&W and .223. Still no .380 though.

The two Wally Worlds in my area usually have a full stock of most ammos. They DO run out rather often of certain things, but they restock quickly. No limits either. Lately theyve had federal 9mm 115 Gr FMJ, 9.95/ 50 rd box. Great deal. Always lots of 22LR value packs. Oh yeah, 380 always runs out REAL quick.

I picked up a couple of boxes of 9mm in the winchester white box at $13.47 each & a box of 45ACP by federal for $16.97 just today. I was glad to see them with 45acp in stock, but was irritated by the 3 box limit, total not by caliber. I will be back Monday to pick up some more, and maybe Tuesday as well; i now have other chambers to feed.

I was surprised at the low price on the 45ACP.

I decided to pick up a box of Winchester .45ACP in the 100 round white box at Wallyworld yesterday for some hoped-for weekend plinking. I was VERY surprised at what appears to be blotchy tarnish on most of the casings. I couldn't get it to wipe off, so i doubt it could cause any harm. That said, i won't be saving any for later; it will be disposed of this weekend. The box was still sealed & didn't look like it had been sitting on the shelf long, but i was still disappointed by the ugly ammo.

I thought Winchester ammo would be at least as good as the Blazer and Remington UMC i have bought in the past.

Couple weeks ago I bought six boxes of WWB .45 Auto at one Walmart and two at another. None were left when I was done.

I just went back yesterday and found another 3 boxes of it that i promptly bought and they had a good amount of Winchester Bonded PDX1 230gr .45 Auto JHPs of which I bought 3 to test after break in.

The WWB .45 is $33 so it is worth it when Dicks across the street is trying to charge $49!!!

I try to go every week to check their WWB stock in both 9 and .45. They have plenty of 9mm WWB though. I need to pick up some more of that as well.

They do have the 250 rd Remington UMC boxes in .45 that I might give a try as well although they are metal cased. I thought I should only shoot Brass?
