Types of Media

Hey everyone! First off, I'm new to this forum and I want to say God Bless you all for practicing and keeping our freedoms alive. I know of the two main media's you can use(Corn cob and Walnut) but is there any other if not better media out on the market?

i asked a similar question a bit back and got some good answers. my last tumbling efforts was 70% cob 30% nut with 2 dryer sheets seemed to do a very nice job with minimal dust.

stop up in the new member forum and intro yourself :)

Does rice work well? Does it get up inside your cases?

If it does a good job, that would be great because I'm always worried about bits of the corncob media sticking up inside the cases.

Yes, rice does good. Yes, it gets inside. but does not tend to get in the freaking flash holes. Add a pinch of tin oxide powder if you need more aggressive polish. Give it a try- a bag will cost you a buck.
