tumbler motor

I'm looking for a tumbler to cleanthe cases I have- how many volts should a good motor have?.

The 2 tumblers that I have used over the last several years run on 110/115 volts.No need for anything bigger.

Frankford Arsenal makes a great kit-Tumbler,Seperator & Bucket,and Media for $60-70.

The tumblers you see that are listed as 220V are for international (Euro) use and will not work in the U.S.

You need to get a 119V system.

I have gone through a bunch of tumblers over the years. I use mine ALOT and wear them out. I bet I have worn out 4 o 5 Lyman tumblers. Not that they are bad, I just ran the crap out of them. My most recent purchase was the MidwayUSA Frankfort arsenal tumbler. It seems to be on par with the Lyman for half the cost.

Check Harbor Freight. They have a couple of tumblers that would do the job. YES THEY ARE CHEAP BUT......buy the extended protection on it. 19.99. 2 years and 90 days-literally anything you do wrong within that timeframe....bring it back you get a brand new one. You can honest to god change it out and get a brand new one every 2 years....all you have to do is pay the $19.99 each time

canebrake is right, 115v for USA, 220v for European. if you are on a budget, or just want try one out before spending a bunch, try the Smart Reloader brand SR787 from MidSouth Shooters Supply. i paid less than $40 for the tumbler, 6lbs of media and shipping. works great.

I have a dillon that has been going strong for 22 years. yes it cost more but figure it up for the number of years per dollar then it is real cheap plus I don't have to keep paying for shipping for new tumblers.

I first tried a motor that had an RPM of 3450. It was too much. Made me want to run away, screaming like a girl... :) Then I found a motor with about half that much speed, and it works great. I can tumble about 500 rounds at a time.
