Default Tula ammo for my AR-15 colt

Hay guys recently just picked up a colt AR-15 and a box of 500 Steel .223 rounds for it and after I purchased this I went to a gun show. A vendor there told me that Tula was absolutely horrible for that weapon and would extremely recommend getting rid of it! What is your guys opinions on Tula!?

Dont get rid of it. If your gun shoots it its fine.

It runs dirtier and has a little less oomph, but with the pricrs of ammo i'd definelty keep it especially if it fully cycles the rifle.

I haven't tried it yet I'm going to tomorrow. I just don't want it to cause problems or anything like that! I'm trying to pick up a AR with the 7.62 I have a guy here in Oklahoma that will sell me one for 4500. That's with ammo mags scope and NVG attachment! And a bi pod! So I'm holding out for that I just want to be safe with this Tula of its good I'm going to get more but I also found 1300 brass 5.56 for 800 so idk what to do. More Tula or brass?

I'll pay the freight to take the ammo off your hands.

Shoot it, clean your rifle, don't worry about it.

Skip buying the 7.62 mm rifle for $4500 of starters!
Even in todays market thats crazy!

Try the TulAmmo.. if it works fine in your rifle (not all AR's cycle 100% with it but most do) then keep it.
$800 for 1300 rounds of brass cased 5.56 is actually a decent price in todays market.

I don't think it will harm your gun. However I don't/won't shoot steel casings out of any of my guns. I prefer to use brass so I can get them reloaded.

A properly maintained Colt AR-15 should eat in-spec 556 steel or brass ammo like candy.

For $4500 (or less), you can get a SCAR-17S off of GunBroker.

What is the exact make and model of the 7.62 AR and what optics come with it? Is it new or used?

Can you afford to shoot both your 556 carbine and your 762 rifle? If not, I'd focus on whichever you can get ammo, spare parts, and mags for. How much better equipped would you be with a 762 semi-auto versus a decent 762 bolt gun with top of the line optics?

Given the current ammo shortage, any 556 that reliably cycles in your AR and is within your budget is what I would go with. If that's Tula for you, then there's nothing wrong with that. If you want brass, be prepared to pay silly prices for it.

It would have to be a very unusual rifle to be a good at at that price.
What exactly is it?

I can't say the exact details about it until this weekend. And ok I will keep Yal informed about how it work with my AR. I hope it's eats it like nothing but we will see. And also I would like some advice on scopes and stuff like That. As I mentioned before I'm fairly new to the whole customizing weapons. I usually just use what Uncle Sam gives me!
