too much lube works like a wedge. just enough lubricates, too much squeezes the case and acts like you just clamped it in a vise. most lubricants dont compress.

Ok thanks for for the help . I guess lube is like water in a engine just won't compress

I broke 2 dies while forming .223 into 300 blackout. I switched to the imperial wax and apply just a tiny amount to the case and inside neck and have yet to break a third.

Well that's two votes for imperial . I went to my LGS yesterday ad all they had was RCBS spray I bought it but I didn't like it and neither did my press . I went back to my Lee lube

I use Imperial on the big rifle magnum cases, and for case forming.

Dillon spray on .30-06 and smaller and all handgun.

BTW, I've tried ALL of the spray lubes I could find and Dillon is the only one I use.

I like the Hornady spray, tried the wax with no luck and stuck cases.
