Is TulAmmo becoming a hot item that needs to be stockpiled?

Went to Walmart today to restock on ammo. I was able to get 2 boxes each caliber of TulAmmo for the .380, 9mm, and .40. However, they were out of the TulAmmo .45 caliber. It was about a month back that I got their last box. I asked the sporting goods clerk when a new shipment would arrive. After making a scan on a PDA Handheld, he said the .45 was on back order but was not sure when any would arrive. What's going on?

Uhhh its an election year ... be prepared for another shortage.. Hopefully it doesnt happen but I would be ready. I have been stocking up on primers ect

Maybe not stockpiling. Could be folks are just buying the stuff because it's cheap, goes bang, and leaves a hole in the target when they pull the trigger.

I have noticed the same thing at our local big box stores in Northwest Florida. I'm thinking that the election year has people a little concerned.

I go through a boatload of ammo in no time.

Having said that, I have around 500 rounds vacuum sealed in a packed bug out bag simply because I'm a paranoid sob.

Best bet might be ordering bulk mail order. CTD runs specials on LC 556 all the time, same with other calibers. Had a nice deal on m855's on strippers and they threw in a can as well.

Be prepared for your local UPS guy/gal to start to hate you.

Thats a great idea, I have thought of doign that also. I was thinking sealing a few 60 rd packs for the BOB

Ive been stockpiling the 7.62x39 TulAmmo. Anytime I am in Wal-Mart, I get atleast 4-5 boxes or whatever is left on the shelf if less. For the price, it flies off the shelf. I have yet to use the 9mm but i have used the .45 and 7.62. I am not real fond of the .45. Although it does go bang every time and i have yet to have any problems with it. It is just very dirty and really lacks a "punch". The 7.62x39 is pretty decent. Once again, very dirty but always goes bang.
