Default Simple shotshell question

Hi there

I normally shoot a 36 load 2 3/4 inch shell.

however the ammo i just bought is 34 load 2 3/4 inch shell.

What is the 34/36 difference?

Just slightly less oomph?

I'm not an expert but wouldn't that have to do with the total shot weight, not power? Its the grain of the shot. Not sure why the difference except slightly less weight. Brand maybe? What is the Brand?
