Sierra varminter are they good
I just picked up a box of Sierra varminter 50gr soft points to reload for my 22-250 for coyotes and other small critters but I'm wondering what type of performs you get out of them in accuracy and expansion thanks for the Info

Dose anybody use these??????

Love the 55 gr Sierra line sp, the 50 gr should be good, I am shooting 223.

What type accuracy do you get my gun loves 55 but they only had the 50s

I reload and I use sierra bullets 99% of the time. I have a few hundred 60gr varmiter bullets loaded and out of my delton and mini-14 its a very accurate bullet. I have never loaded anything under 55gr. The 60gr varmiter was loaded for coyote hunting and is very good at its job.

I get great accuracy from the Sierra bullets, I use them in my 223 and 6.8 mini loads. The boat tail sp shoot the best from my Savage bolt 3/4" or better at 100 yds.

The are as good as any. Explosive. The 50 should be just as accurate as the 55; at least they are in my rifles.
