So, how much, exactly, does the ATF and the

Brady Bunch pay you guys to monitor our threads,

nowadays ?

I have no doubts that most "gun related/survival minded/patriotic" sites are monitored---after all, we are potential domestic terrorists. Remember, we Bible hugging Christians are part of the vast right wing conspiracy movement. Personally I like being in that category and among friends.
ETA:---Whoa just a minute therewolf. Just caught that you were referring to me. You can stick your accusations where the sun doesn't dampen your big mouth. You do not know me and now I could care less about knowing you. I served my country in the Marines for 9 yrs, fire dept/EMT/rescue, boy scouts, Gideons for 20+ years. Have been in more offices than I can remember helping my community, country, and God. While I am on a roll--always heard that to shift suspicion is the best way to cover your own behind so just who are you that gives you the right to accuse another of such. And you can kiss my skinny behind while at it you POS. Take your 3,143 posts and I will take my 5,000+ at Handloadersbench, minionreport, castboolits, survival monkey, and the several thousand I left at some others. Suck on that for awhile--SIR.

Slowly getting there, but about 10K rounds of each caliber I own I think might be a good start.

Well, while I appreciate your refreshing rudeness, it seems a little

sanctimonious, heated, and anal-related, for such a simple question.

What I simply don't know, is why would anyone want to know the answer to

this question, and why so many co-operated by answering in the second

place...

3143 posts, is it? Funny, in all those posts, I've never asked anyone

for specific details about their shooting habits, ownership paradigms,

or stocking quantities...

...IMO, you all out there can trust whomever you want, but I'd advise

posting scantily about the personal details of your possessions,

and life, in general.

JJ wrote in his opening post:"...would want on hand for emergancies. 62gr steel core or some sort of JHP self defense round?" I do not think anyone divulged any dark threatening secrets about what kind of ammo they might or might not have...or quantities. 109 is not a very effective AP round and neither is most other against modern armor. Neck/thigh shots with anything will stop even a heavily armored body. Even 22 RF will do.
Therewolf, sorry I took your question personally--thought it was directed at me. You seem a sincere person truly concerned about the developing situation--as we all should be.

Everyone will probably calculate usage differently,

but, IMO, an emergency stock should be averaged

out over time, like a BCR.

I.E.-10,000 rounds, over ten years is 1000 rounds a year, less than

three rounds a day. Will some of us average 3 rounds a week

during that time frame? Will the situation resolve itself in 90 days, or

three years? etc...

At our age the odds of surviving past 90 days are against my wife and I. I know lots of older people that wont get past the 1st month. Still I am maintaining a supply of ammo. Heavy on the 22lr as I see that as the most useful. The odds of going it alone are slim to none. Our best option is to keep the community going if at all possible. There will always be someone who willing to take your stuff forcibly and a group or community is the best defense. You have to sleep sometime.

We all have to die sometime, too. I'm another, who'd rate my

chances at less than 50/50, without community organization.

Knowing that sleep is a must, having my wife trained and skilled in at least two of our firearms will allow me sleep while she is on guard and vice-versa.

Also have friends who live less than a mile away that are also stocked up and ready to hold out.
