I am surprised that no one put up any Remington 30-06 55 Gr. accelerator ammo.? As far as I can see they are still in production & carried by Midway USA

Accelerator cartridges are pretty much civilian SLAP rounds. Both are collectible, but accelerator is more common. I don't think they're made anymore.

Ok, a quick google search shows that many places still have them in .30 caliber. Maybe they are still made. Would be neat to use a 7.62x51 sabot in a 7.62x39 case.

Rounds on one of my rifle boards include 30-30, .308 and 30-06 Accelerators (.308 is out of production) and one rd of 7.62 NATO SLAP. (and I still have 4 boxes of the .308, and not, they are not)

Ok this round isn't really weird but its not something you see every day either. You can see the price on the ammo box and that was probably 15 years ago and thats an 8 on the box and not a 3. These are for a Ruger #1H that I have and no I haven't shot it very much. The bullets are 400 gr solids. If anyone has a problem with enraged elephants let me know. Btw I think the Ruger #1 is one of the nicest looking rifles out there.

Good lord.
Tell me next time you shoot it, so I know when to take cover!

The only thing old I had was about 20 rounds of 351SLR ammo that I gave to my nephew
Shot up al my Colt Teleshot(12 ga with M-80 firecracker in it). Used to scare birds.
Still have 12ga CS barricade projectile.

I have a live .600 Nitro Express round, a couple of sample boxes of plastic case .38 Special (reloadable) ammo, some 9mm plastic bullet rounds, a scattered selection old British Nitro Express rounds, a HUGE collection of old 22 rimfire boxes (full) and a whole bunch of other unusual types of ammo---an interesting additional hobby...

I had a guy at a recent collectors show ask me to identify some ammo he had in a .30-40 krag box. After quite a bit of googling, turns out it was .370 nitro express. He had 20 cartridges, but I (for some dumb reason) didn't buy any. Shoulda coulda.
