considering the .223 is a bolt gun that is a fair amount of time behind the sights but the amount of 22 shells i shot is staggeringly low compared to the last few years. i don't shoot the 45 much so that's a little lower than average.

just before pheasant season i checked my ammo supply & i must've had 250 rounds of 12 gauge, everything from target loads to 4 & 6 shot bird loads. any time i walked by the gun counter at wal-mart the last couple years, i'd buy some shotgun shells if they were on sale in the off season. i hadn't realized i'd bought so damn many

If you know you have shot a lot of ammo but have no idea of how much ammo you have shot do you win a special prize? Maybe we can invent a new word, dunnowhatIshot?

A good system, IMO, is to decide what you want to shoot next month, and replace it BEFORE you shoot it!
