Here is what a 30 year reloader talked me into doing. He told me to buy the Lee four hole turret and start reloading first without the turret rod. That forces you to turn the turret by hand making you think about each step. After you get the hang of each step put the turret rod in and speed things up considerably. I can reload about 200 45 acp or 9mm per hour.

That is what I was thinking. Using the turret as you did. That way I concentrate on each step and can add the rod later. It is just I have found a turret deluxe kit for 20 more then a single. Both kits seem to include the same things to start. I will have to get dies and a few other things but I like the lee stuff to start.

I have always found it easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission. It has worked out ok, but we've been married 30+ years.

Thanks. I know when I get it all set up and we hash out where I can put it. Our garage is fixing to be closed in and made into a game room. I inherited a 1904 pool table from my grandfather. So I need a place for it.
