Specifically, will Hornady dies work in an RCBS press?

in general yes

most die makers and press makers all use a standard thread size across all dies and machines. i use several different brands of dies in my rcbs and dillon presses.

Yes,Almost all dies made today will fit in other brand equipment.Most mfg's make their reloading equipment a standard size- 7/8 x 14

99% of all dies made are 7/8x14 so yes.
