Default Reloading the .256 win mag

I have decided to put to use the two sets of RCBS dies for forming and reloading .256 Winchester Mags. The problem I am encountering is I cannot locate any detailed case forming instructions on how to go from a .357 Mag case to a .256 Winchester Mag case. I have exhausted my stacks of reloading magazines and worn out my Mouse searching the WWW for detailed instructions or a YouTube Video on the subject. Anyone here know where I can locate some detailed literature or a Video on this subject?

Hi Don,

I saw a bunch of factory new 256 Win Mag brass on gunbroker. 300rds for $90 or so.

It was easy to see since I put it there

Default 256 Win Cases Forming

Jamison used to make them and are selling them out now, also Midway carries them. Both are expensive. If you want to form some Redding and make rcbs make two stage forming dies. If you have formed cases before, no sweat if not it will take some time. If you only need a few get them from Midway. Email if you have some questions, glad to give you a phone number and I can explain it better. Used to be a ammo designer for Remington

Send an e-mail to RCBS.They should have, on file,a copy of the original instructions that came with those dies.If not.send me a pm,I may be able to talk you through the process.

If you are still having a problem, email me N6032X@hotmail.com and I'll give you a phone number and maybe I can help. I used to do this for a living at Remington. I developed the 17 rem cases which is a severe a reduction as you might want. The 22 Jet and 256 Win are easy reductions based on the 357 Mag case. You'll need to anneal when you're done which isn't bad. JC

Joseph- by any chance, were you involved in the Accelerator project?

Still have 5 boxes of the .308 Accelerators. From a clean, cold barrel, freaking MARVELOUS stuff. 3rd shot goes to hell, but the first two are wonderful.

Apologies for sidetracking thread.

We didn't have this problem during development. They shot well but nit as good as a good target barrel.
