Fred, what ever "Used" brass you get, look inside of the case to see if it is Berdan or Boxer. Berdan=2 small holes side by side.=Boxer(re-loadable) 1 single larger hole, in the center of the web of the case. To me Berdan primed brass (or Steel) is worthless, and gets trashed quickly. BTW, 7.62x39 is NOT the only Berdan primed cases out there-so-inspect inside all brass of unknown origin. This habit will save headaches-not to mention broken de-cap pins down the road, and is another good idea, during all hand loading.
