I have 5 boxes of Prvi 6.5x55 139gr sp ammo I bought quite a while ago. I desided I should shoot it for the brass. When I chambered a round, it was hard to close the bolt, and a very heavy lift also. I tried a number of cartridges, they were all the same. They will chamber in my M1938 though. When I measured the brass it is .035 too long. You can see the brass (Neck) "shined" up from being to long. I guess I'll shoot it in my Military rifles and use re-loads in my hunter. Rifle is a 1963 Husqvarna M1600 small ring '98 action. It is mint.

At least you found out before you went hunting. Does the re-sized brass fit OK?

I have some Igman 139gr sp ammo that is fine, Winchester brass that is fine, Norma brass that is fine. I've never had an issue like this in all my years shooting. I'll be trimming this brass down after shooting it in one of my Military rifles. I'm sending Prvi an e-mail.

So overall length is too long?

Or does the shoulder need bumped back?

Case length is to long, the neck to be exact.
