So now that my wife has gotten into shooting I'm having to consider reloading. I would like to get a progressive reloader. Do you just need dies or are certain reloaders for certain calibers. At the moment I would be reloading 9mm, 22-250 and .223.

You can swap dies out on the same press, with a progressive press you also need to swap out shell plates for different calibers.

The thread is a great primer. There are also a number of You Tube Videos regarding reloading with a progressive press such as the Dillon. The only caution is that anyone with a video camera can make an "instructional" video, doesn't mean that they know what they are talking about so just try to verify who it is you watch. with progressive presses you need dies and conversion kits for the new calibers. ive only got experience with the dillon xl650 progressive. i load a lot of different calibers and ive got parts for a lot of different calibers that all i really need for a new caliber is the shellplate as the other parts have hit critical mass and i can swap in and out for just about any caliber and a few dillon doesnt support...
