Default primers

Picked up some federal small pistol primers today. Normally I use CCI. Is there much difference? I felt it would be okay that's why I got them.. just thought I'd ask

I never hesitate to use different brands, but I also don't load near the top of the charge range either. I believe that different primers can cause minor variations in pressure

I've switched from federal to cci and not had a issue with either. Federal are the easiest to light, so if you have problems with light strikes they might help

They are good primers. I switch back and forth from Federal to CCI based on cost and availability.

I wonder if they smell in that little of a charge? Federal shotgun shells do stink compared to Remington and Winchester.
