I think that even with a 50BMG shot placement matters for humane kills lol.
I think that 240gr will be my all purpose weight, I shoot mostly 230gr 45ACP and the reason why I got a .44 Magnum was to have a similar weight and size but going much faster.

Usually one is hunting taliban or similar when using the 50bmg, so sometimes a not so humanely hit is still good

Lmfao if you are interested in reloading at all ive had good luck with lee bullet molds in the 44mag. I use their 240 elmer keith style bullet with gas checks over h110 at 1450 fps. Cant beat the price on these molds. They pay for themselves with 1-2 boxes of ammo. Current cost per shot with this bullet/load is .12 per round $6 a box.
