Default Optimum Testing

If a 4 inch barrel is used for 9mm +p 135 grain hp optimum testing what if anything is affected when that ammo is used in a handgun with a 3.4 inch barrel? Thanks in advance.

I like to do a redneck water jug test, pop bottles or milk jugs.
