When ammo became scarce it finally gave me the nudge I needed to pull the trigger and buy my reloading set up. With the crazy prices my $1200 investment broke even at 2400 rounds. I also decided to sell off some of my extra factory ammo to fund the purchase so realistically I paid alot less for the reloading setup.

Will I be better prepared? Probably not, I was pretty darn ready for it this time, I keep several thousand rounds worth of powder/bullets/brass/primers and I don't do much shooting if I know I cannot replenish the stock.

I am considering that now..bought the book ABC's of reloading I am about half way through it...lol..but plan to read through once more. I have priced out what I think I want....but that could change by the time I actually get to the point of purchase.

I need to get a new 22, I gave my 552 Speedmaster to a really good friend of mine who loved that gun way more then I ever did. Probably go with a bolt action next time.

If you buy 22 by the case, (5000, ten bricks) you normally get a much better price. (If you belong to a gun club, or your child shoots in a jr, rifle club, you can often "piggy-back" on the club orders and get it close to 1/2 price)

I buy primers in sleeves of 5000. Powder in 8 lb caddies. Bullets in bulk pack of 2000. (again, wholesale through my gun club)

I never cut back on my shooting this past year, because I'm well stocked.

I have a good quantity of factory ammo on hand, but since i hand load, the factory ammo is held in reserve in case it's ever needed for serious social shooting.

I am slowly stocking up with regular trips to the new range. They have ammo at pre panic prices but there is a two box limit. I don't mind that so much though. Stops the speculators buying it all in one day.

I can't believe a retailer would call any customer a "hoarder", and my question is how do you identity a person that is a so called hoarder

Based on your comment I doubt that I would ever frequent your store.

If I were closer, I doubt that I would ever leave her store.
