I got it , no caliber wars. This is not AT ALL meant to start that but. I'd be really interested in hearing the 2 folks opinions on why they picked .22LR as a " favorite " caliber for SD.

It must be the one they own. Still weird, though. My favorite racing engine is a twin turbo V12, but I don't own one.

Tell you a funny, I carry a 9mm, my brother carries a 40, my other brother carries a 357 Mag, but my little sister in law carries a 44 Magnum with some nasty 240gr XTP handloads! I pitty the fool that messes with her, she shoots it very well at leased as well as I can.

You need to add a family member to carry a .45

We have all carried 45s at one time or another, but since I got into handloading the 45 has lost some appeal since it is so pressure limited, I simply cannot do much with them. I do plan on building a 460 Rowland for my hunting sidearm, 45 caliber, modern pressures, 44 mag power, and 14 round capasity!

Default Not the biggest gun..............

A nine shot 22 long rifle pistol, revolver, loaded with 40 grain bullets in the right hands..........A 22 rifle loaded with 18 rounds of 40 grain ammo should be good enough in the right hands........ esp. young ones............remember, young ones...................
