Default No Virginia, there is no Ammo

I just drove from Newport News Virginia to N. of Harrisonburg along 64 and then headed up north I 81. I called when I got 10 miles away from each Walmart all the way up this corridor. None of them had 9 or 22 ammo. That distance is about 1/3 to 1/2 of the state. Incredible

Not incredible. Supply and demand. Today demand is high. In 9-12 months , they will all have as much 9MM as you want.

You have to know where to look. I don't buy much factory fodder (except for 9mm,22LR and 12 Ga), but reloading components are just as tough nowadays but we have one local retailer that gets truckloads in and does not price gouge, I'll remember that when the supply and demand go back to normal, I never want to do bushiness anywhere else
They had CCI 22LR the other day for $15 a brick, and their primers have stayed the same.
Found a few of my favorite powders too for $23 a pound everywhere else they are $30+

New Mexico and West Texas to name a few is bare. Ammo comes in and goes. Reloading supplies is getting purchase in the same manner.

Looking for ammo is no longer driving and finding it or getting lucky. It is planing and making friends.

My wal mary contact is Tom, the sporting goods manager. He gives me a heads up when ammo is due, and he puts it out at 7 am the next day.

I don't need much, so I have only made friends with one store manager.
