Edit. Sorry forgot there's no 22 mag but even 38 sp might do. The SP I think is unmatched for the excellent slim factory grip with a 4" barrel.

My wife is very recoil sensitive. She carries a S&W J-Frame in 22 mag. She shoots it pretty well. I would rather she carry a 22 mag that she is likes and practices with, then a 9mm she refuses shoot.
