Default Need to buy new scale

Would anyone care to recommend a powder scale to me ? My Lyman 500 that I have used for a good many years is now having zeroing and repeatability problems. I am going to replace it and would like to make a one time buy. Thanks for your help.

Are you looking for a digital or a balance beam.

Go balance beam if you want to buy it once. My Ohaus 505 is probably over 30 years old.

I have an old balance beam that's probably 20+ years old and us still as accurate as a new one. I like the rcbs 505

Default new scale

I would consider either electronic or balance beam. I have read that electronic scales don't last and can be finicky, this has me leaning toward a good balance beam. What I have now is an 80's model Lyman 500 and it seemed to do the job for years. I started getting some flyers where I hadn't had them before and after checking everything else twice I gave my scale a good look and discovered it has repeatability problems. So out it goes. Thanks.

I have a dillon balance scale that is 24 years old and still working perfectly and an MTM digital scale that is about 2 years old working great. The MTM was not expensive about 30 bucks. I like having one of each to check against each other.

You can get a great deal on a used scale on ebay.I've picked up several RCBS 505's for friends for $30-50 in the last year.
