Been loading Hornady 75gr. HPBT, 24.0gr. RL-25, CCI 400 primers, new Lake City brass.
Anybody got a load recipe they're crazy about?


Using 20" 1:7 barrel.

my rra nm service rifle loves the sierra match 69grn bthp. try using varget its a fantastic powder for ar15 accuracy loads. sierra bullets seem to be more consistant in shape and weight than hornady.

You are loading RL-25 in an AR-15 223/5.56? Where did you find data for this load. R-25 is way to slow to get any performance out of the 223/5.56.

Sorry, just teasing ya, you must mean RL-15, yes?

I was thinking the same thing! RL-25 is way too slow burning for such a small caliber.

I use Varget,BL-C(2),H335,IMR 4195 for most of my 223 needs,and I shoot a lot of 75gr Match and AMax bullets as well as 68/69gr match bullets.
Some of my best loads are with BL-C(2).
