Default My Odd Ball Calibers

A lot of guys were laughing at me, or otherwise making fun because I prefer some of the more odd ball calibers and cartridges; i.e., 6.5mm, 8mm, and 9.3mm. Well, guess what? I am having no problems in finding an abundance of bullet weights and readily available bullets in these calibers, whereas guys who load only the "popular" .22, .30, .284 (7mm), etc. are having great difficulty finding bullets. Whose laughing now?

I just got some 7.7 (.303) the other day....
6.5 is a bit harder to get. (I think alot of people out here have the weird 6.5 AR calibers or shoot competition)

that is kind of funny, and i've been thinking that for the last two or three weeks....

"boy, now would sure be a good time to have an odd caliber rifle or pistol......"

thats ok, the smart and foresight fellas like you can provide the cover fire while we run back to walmart to check shelves and or reload another 100rnd batch

Odd calibers rule! There is nothing like shooting a caliber most people have never heard of.

While everyone was fighting over that last plastic AR Mag (one that still said PRINGLES on the bottom) I was picking up a couple of nice S&W Revolvers- one in .32 Long, the other in .38 S&W. Stopped by LGS this afternoon- shelves still bare of .223, but 40 boxes of .303 Brit (Come Smelly! I shall take you to the feeding! Hahahahaha! )

Hell, I feel a Remington .350 Magnum coming on now.......

My 10mm affection is not quite "odd ball" enough. Ammo still in short supply. I suppose 7 X 57 is pretty odd. 8mm Mauser has a stron following these days. Since I hand load for EVERYTHING I shoot and cast bullets for most, I just have to stock powder, pimers and lead.

If you haven't been stocking up on ammo/reloading supplies since the Reagon era, then you've been waiting for trouble.
I keep enough loaded ammo and reloading supplies on hand, that I could go without buying anymore for many years.

Why do people wait until there's a threat of a ban to buy things, and then cry and whine about not being able to get things? I call that being very stupid!
