Hogan- Mark Twain once said- the problem with the internet, is you have a hard time verifying the information found there.
Be VERY careful about load data given you over the net from anonymous sources. For all you can tell, I am 12 years old, and Mom does not know I am on the computer. I'm NOT- but you have no way of KNOWING that.
Now I will get down off'n my soapbox, and give you a link-
Cartridge Loads - Hodgdon Reloading Data Center - data.hodgdon.com
All of the powder companies have a website with recipes. THEM I would trust!

I don't know c3, how do we know Hodgdon's not run by a group of 12 year olds whose mama's don't know they're playing chemist?

no not the steel cased stuff. all the russian ammo ive run across is steel cased.
a lot of the brass cased stuff is berdan primed which is also not readily reloadable.
the latest hornady load manual has a lot of 7.62x54r loadings

When looking for reloadable ammo look for brass case, boxer primed.

Really? Dang. I'm way behind on the news, I thought he died a long time ago.

Trip- nice of you to notice that. Maybe it was Tom Jefferson that said that.
To the original poster- look inside a fired cartridge case. One flash hole or two? Two is not easily reloadable. Takes special depriming tool, different size and type primer. While steel cases CAN be reloaded, not easily.

Does lee make a Berdan depriming tool? Can I ruin a normal depriming rod if I punch through the web?

The anvil is built into the case, not the primer. The primers are a different size also.
