load data for 30-06
Hey guys Im starting to reload for my 30-06s and I was just wanting to now what has worked for you with imr 4350 with 150gr and 165gr nosler hunting ballistic tips and any other powder suggestion thank you

I've always used H4350 and H4831 for my 30/06 loads,so I can't help you with the IMR powders.
Here's a link that list every powder that Hodgdon list for 30/06 loads. Start low and work the charges up.

I use BLC-2 or W-748 (whichever I can get in bulk) because I can load pretty much everything from .223 to .30-06 with the same powder. They may not be the best powder for any of them, but I do not load for absolute performance (accuracy or velocity) in these calibers. I load for consistancy and reliability and get pretty darn good results in spite of the powders are not "ideal".
I use H-4831SC for magnum rifles and .25-06 and 3031 for .45-70.

I use 54 grains of IMR 4350 and a 165 grain Hornady BTSP. Deadly accurate.

So dose it really matter what type of bullet it is as long as the wight is the same?

Yes it does matter. Be careful and make sure any powder listed doesn't exceed the max. But according to Hornady and Nosler the one I listed is good for both 165 hornady BTSP and 165 nosler partitions. I just couldn't get noslers to group as good.

Alright cuz I was looking at nosler hunting ballistic tips and I wanted to know if it matter or not

Bigdaddy, any of the powders listed may give you acceptable results, but IMR4895 has been the old standby .30-06 powder for many years. The only .30-06 I load now is for my M1 Garands but I also use IMR4895 in .308 with excellent results. H4895 is also an excellent powder with almost identical charge weights and it flows a lot better for smaller cases.
