[Staestc]

I was pretty surprised yesterday when I used my new Lee Pro 4 for the first time. I cranked it up to about 9 when I started and it melted my ingots much quicker than I expected, which is great. I cranked it down to about 6 on the 1-10 scale, and let it sit for a bit and when I checked it was 830 degrees! I finally ended up casting with it set just a hair below 4 which was giving me 720 degrees. And that temperature was consisted throughout the casting I did yesterday, even as the pot level went down.

Do the controls on Lee pots just vary that much between units? I was thinking I had read of people setting theirs at like 6.5, 7, etc.
