Since you didn't say "What kind of FN Brass", I would assume that its berdan primed. Kind of hard to punch out a new hole in the center of the brass.

Getting to everybody else's problem, I use a lee universal deprimer only to insure that there is blockage in the primer pocket after I have sized/trimmed/swaged the brass. I use a Dillon size/decap die for all of my rifle cartridges. If the Crimp is really severe (and some are), the Dillon die will just punch a hole in the primer. Basically that brass gets recycled. But the Dillon die will decap 99.9% of all crimped primers.

Yes berdan primed. I thought that is what all FN was.
