as that i reload mainly for bolt actions and that i learned a lot from my father when he reloaded, i neck size only for them. i use them only in my own rifles and usually start off with brass cases that were fired in my own rifles. i do full length resize for my lever actioned rifles though.

maybe i was taught wrong, but it seems to jive with what i have read and what many others have been doing. i can generally get about 10-15 loadings per case. i think i'll just stick with what works for me though.

if its range pick up brass, I full length size them, once they have been fired in my gun, neck size only from then on out.

well all my range pick up brass, i know where it came from. one of my rifles!

i have a 100 yard range built behind my house. any brass i find, i have a pretty good idea where it comes from. but i second your methods with full length sizing if you don't know what it was fire from. good idea.

I like to practice ejecting the brass really fast and then catching them before they hit the ground!

The ones on the ground around me are other peoples.

i eject mine very slowly and let them land on the table. i'm getting old and hate chasing after the brass, and if it lands on the table i don't have to bend over to pick it up!

lol

I am still young, and will do my very best to not hate bending over when I am old. Sometimes I'll do a cartwheel just to get to the spot!
