Default Lead Free For 45/70 Government 1886 Winchester

I have a pig hunting opportunity in a lead-free ammo zone. I am hoping to use my (vintage) 1886 Winchester lever gun, but I don't know of any copper bullets I can load it with. I figure copper is going to be larger than lead so that will probably limit the weights and charges I can use (these 1886s will not tolerate anything over . Barnes has some 300 and 400 grain copper but their load data does not cover vintage guns. What is one to do?

Corbon and Barnes both make lead-free cartridges. Try this website. www.ammoseek.com

Just a minor heads up, avoid green ammo. (especially in glock). It has been shown to erode breech faces etc.

Did I mention I am rolling my own? I am looking for lead-free projectiles, not cartridges.

How about these?

For the vintage action, I would use "book" starting loads.
