Am a new guy to this forum. Have been trying to find some viable info. on the reloading of the 22-6mm. Would like to know some load workups, such as powder charge, bullet weight, distance from the lands, chrono. speeds, etc.... Much appreciated if someone has somethin'.. Thanks

These loads are max. in my gun and with wildcats I recomand that you start down by at least 15%.
In general I like to keep heavy for the caliber bullets close to the lands, .010 to .015. The data here was form a 1 in 8 Twist 26 in. barrel and ran through an Oler crono, no presure testing, only obseveration of cases. All load data with 80 gn. Sierra, unless stated other wise.
RL-22, 47 gn. ave. vel. 3516 fps.
RL-25, 48 gn. ave. vel. 3543 fps.
AA Mag. Pro. 48 gn. ave.vel. 3359 fps. Might be better with standard primers than mag.
H-870 you can fill the case and only get abt. 3,200 fps, but very accurate. use mag. primers.

This is very helpful Catfish. What kind of accuracy are you getting with it at 10 to 15 off the lands. What primers seem to be getting you the best accuracy. Reason am trying to figure this out is am using a 220 Swift with a 1 in 8 putting them .060 off the lands kickin' 80 grain Nosler customs at about 3375 with 43gr. RL22. It will shoot first round good, second round will be a 1/4 to 1/2 flyer and then it will put the third back in the first hole. Then the fourth will usually shoot high but touching. This has been consistent through about 80 rounds and can't figure out what the heck is going on. Have you or anyone else heard of such a predicament??????

After much discussion with my gunny and ole daddio did a little investigating and found out that the bed and float on the rifle weren't working properly. Took the old dremel and chisel to it and rebed it a little longer and bed the action also. Now it shoots 5 shot in .215 MOA at a hundred and on the only day I had to shoot it shot 3 shots in right at a 1/2 moa at 400 yards. Am curious to stretch her legs a little farther. Using 75 grain A-max moly 43.5 grains of RL-22 about .065 off the lands 1:8 Douglas. Hope this might be of help to someboby else.

try 46 grains of h4831sc with the 75g amax mine has a27in. barrel with a1x8 twist not fur freindly but very fast ( 3700fps ) or 46.5 rl22 with same bullet 3670fps and very accurate
