I Chose My 9mm Ammo

After reading an article by Chuck Hawks,I decided to order what he says is the best manstopper 9mm ammo.It is the Corbon 115 grain JHP +P.He says that all Ruger pistols are capable of handling it,even my cheap P95.I know I should have ordered alot more of it to make sure it feeds reliably, but it is so expensive that I only got one box.I know I will get flak for only ordering one box,but I will order more when I can afford it and hope no one tries to break in during the meantime,or at least hope it feeds if I need it.The 20 round box is like $23,and add $14 for shipping, that's $37 I have to pay for 20 rounds,so you can see how it would be hard to put the reccommennded 200 test rounds of that ammo through it.

At least you have some. Buy more when you are able.

Check out the Speer Gold Dot 124gr for your next purchase. Good stuff, and should work in your Ruger just fine.

I like the P95. Ruger makes good guns. Ive never had a problem with my P95 not liking anything. Have you ever had a problem with any ammo in yours?

be careful of anything that magazine writers say in articles. most of them recieve payment for promoting products and writing favorable articles. go read articles covering just about any product and you will just about never see a bad word written about even the worst product.

opinions written for profit have little bearing on facts. gun writers will often recieve guns or samples of products and will plop a firearm out ont he desk take a look at it and write glowing reviews of the range time they spent in blowing winds and rain that prevented them from truly testing the gear they got from that dealer. so they publish the article then ship the firearm back cosmoline still in the barrel...

that isnt to say the ammo you have chosen is bad just make sure that your taking the advice of a paid reviewer with a shaker of salt.

Ditto on the 124gr Gold Dot.

Beware of anything written by Chuck Hawks as he is really opinionated and facts are elusive to him...

I haven't fired too many shots through it yet, maybe 200.I think it was a box of Blazer that gave me a couple of jams, but other than that,it hasn't given me any problems.I went through 50 magtech fmj and 50 remington JHP without any issues.I really need to get out there more with it,I only own 15 rounds of ammo which I rotate from magazine to magazine every once in awhile to stretch the springs.

After you get a chance to test that new ammo please keep us posted as to the results. I am curious how it will go.

Want the HOT ticket for 9 mike mike?

Buffalo Bore 9mm Luger +P+ Ammunition

Runs great in my BHP and it screams at 1426 fps M.V./519 lb/ft M.E.

That hits as hard as their .45 ACP +P! (1,150 fps M.V./543 ft. lbs M.E.

You are doing more damage to the springs by frequently rotating the ammo than leaving them in compression.
