Intervention time and here's the reason. You put it in writing!

Any good PI attorney will find this post, show the jury you had prior safety knowledge and didn't inform his client.

The injury and damages swing from natural selection to "It's Your Fault!"

Tell the a$$hole before he kills someone. (Maybe you)

Hey- it is nice to have someone concerned for your well being!

IF he is "on the chart" with the reloading manual- AND he is not getting signs of excessive pressure (look at the primer, Luke, said Obi Wan Kenobi), should be OK. Most HP rifles DO throw a significant bit of flame (ever see a 50 cal Browning fire at night? GREAT strobe light)

I once tried some 95 gr +P+ .38 Special on an indoor range- thought I was going to set ceiling tile on fire from muzzle flash- sheet of WHITE flame 3 ft wide (Don't hit him- just toast him to death!)

Lyman #49 List 58 grs. with a 87 gr. SP using H4831 which is just a bit slower than the IMR version but only by two slots on the burn chart. Looks like he is about 1 full gr. below MAX using the IMR.

87 GR. SPR HP IMR IMR 4831 .257" 3.115" 52.0 3099 41,900 CUP 56.5 3398 50,600 CUP

Im glad that res45 found a legitimate recipe because Ive known of people who've pushed it too far and lived (Thank God) too regret crossing the line, even if they destroyed a perfectly fine weapon. The people who write handloading manuals are paid for there knowledge so why second guess them. I own many rifles and if I need more, then I save my money and buy something meaner. I dont deviate from what the experts print. Just my humble opinion. Handloading is the sh!t but you have to respect it or you will get hurt.
