Default Hs-6 & hs-7

I've come across 6# of HS-6 and 2# of HS-6 for a total of $120. I've found a few loads in 38, 357 and 45 for the HS-6 that I could use but I'm having a hard time finding dat on the HS-7 since it's been discontinued. Anyone have good info on HS-7 or 6? I'm loading for 38, 357, 44 mag and 45 acp.

HS-7 was used a lot for 10mm max loads
Good, powerful BOOM!!

Hogdon states that it was a Shotshell primer that was used for magnum handgun loads due to its properties.
.357, .41, .44, & .45-Winchester, along with 10mm are the suggested handgun calibers.

Here's a little something I found on the net.

Quote:
NOTE:
HS7 is a spherical propellant that is an excellent heavy field load for game such as Turkey and Goose. HS7 is used to load some pistol cartridges including .357 mag.,.41 mag.,.44 mag., and .45 Win. Mag. HS-7 is identical to Winchester's discontinued 571. Available in 1 lb. & 8 lb. containers.

When I reload .45 acp with a 160 gr. cast lead bullet I use 9 grs. of HS-6, and for .38 sp. I use 5.5 grs. for a 125 grain cast lead bullet. That's kinda light, but I only use those loads for practice.

571/HS7 is great for .38 Super, .40S&W, and 10mm Auto (and, I would expect, .44 Rem Mag). I still have just under 2 lbs and wish it was still around.
HS6 is good in most pistol cartridges.
I only load L-HBWCs in .38 Special for use in my S&W M52, so have no use for HS6.
For .45ACP, there is the following:
