Default Howa .223

I just bought myself a new howa .223 with a 1-12 twist rate,I will be reloading for this rifle using 55gr sierra SPBT gamekings and using AR-2206H powder...in the ADI hand loaders guide it lists 25gr minimum and 26grains max..now the question I'd like to ask is would I work in .2 increments up to the max until I find my sweet load or how would others suggest I go about it....cheers

Not much room for error there. I'd start on the low end and make up a few rounds and test fire.

Mountainman is exactly correct in his thoughts! You always want to start from the low end and slowly work up. As stated there is not much room there to work with. But normally speaking, you find the most accurate load somewhere in the middle between low and high charges. Howa makes a fine rifle and they are known for accuracy. They also make the Weatherby Vanguard for Weatherby just for info!

I'm am aware of starting from minimum and working your way up as I already load for my howa .308..for that rifle I load in .5 increments at a time with minimum being 42 and max 46c...there is a lot of room to play with using those figures before I actually found my sweet load, but for .223 there is hardly any room at all and hence why I'm asking is .2 increments ok,I think I'll just load 3 rounds of each at .2 increments up until I hit the sweet spot and see what happens....cheers

The powder you are using is H4895, under a different label. Depending on the actual bullet in 55gr used, it really changes. You are correct w/ that bullet even from Hodgdon/IMR
