Default Hornady's 300 and 338 RCM

Was in the local bass pro shops yesterday looking at ammunition and ran across something new. It was a box of Hornady labeled 300 RCM. I had never heard of this round before so I googled it on my way home and saw it was a Ruger Compact Magnum that has similar ballistics to the 300 and 338 win mags but with less recoil. Heres the link I used

I don't know, they might be ok, I just wish they would have necked down their 375 Ruger case and not shortened it, and given us an improvement over the 300 and 338 instead of matching them and redesigning the wheel.

The real test is whether or nor it will still be available, (and ammo for it) 5 years from now.

@model70 yeah I agree, they should have just necked down instead of shortening the entire cartridge but in a way, I am sort of happy because I'm a big fan of the 338 win mag but I hate long actions and love short actions so knowing that it's similar to a SA, really gets my attention
