I remember my first time at the range clear as a bell (it was only a couple years ago). The first shot someone fired from a lane or two over caused what felt at the time to slam a shockwave over my body. My adrenaline went through the roof and it was a very visceral experience. Not unlike pure fear, but more like the first drop in a really cool roller coaster.
It has become less visceral, more hum-drum, but I still love the range.
Too bad each trip is like $50-100 bucks.
