My local Walmart got in about 30 of those 22lr bricks last night, they went on the shelf at 10:00, gone by 11:00... I got there at 11:30

Did get 3 more boxes of 223 though

Went to my Local Reloading store today to pick up a few items.
Jerry the owner has done a good job keeping his customers supplied with components so far. He is running low, but still has some stuff.

I talked to him about power and primers. He told me that the day after the election he spent hours on the phone buying whatever he could find. He was able to purchase a few Million primers and lots of powder. That stock is now down to almost nothing and getting more is "Hit and Miss" at best.

I didn't want to get greedy, so I bought only what I needed.
I purchased a pound of R-17, IMR 7828, H-322, WST, a box of Sierra 160gr GK HP, a bottle of Dillon Rapid Polish and 1000 Fed LPP. The powders averaged about $25/lb and the Primers were $36/K.

The primers were a little higher than normal, but not by much. His Federals usually run about $32-33 per K.

I was looking forward to buying a 8lb jug of 748, that's was wishful thinking at best. Not only did he not have an 8 pounder he didn't have any pounders of 748.

Got this e-mail earlier today from my co-worker.....

I was at Cabela's and looking at presses when I noticed a lot of people moving in one direction toward the middle of the gun area. I looked around the corner to see an employee rolling out a rack on wheels with ammo. They had .223 in 300 round ammo cans, .45 in 500 round boxes, 9mm in 1000 round boxes, .22 in several different boxes, .308 in I think 250 round boxes.
They stated a limit of 1 box per customer.

Anyway, I bought 1 box of 9mm 1000 rounds for $220 myself – Remington 115 grain round nose target loads.

I actually picked up a couple of bricks of primers there a couple of weekends ago along with some powder and bullets. Not even close to being back to normal but things are looking better.

I was finally able to score ammo today. I managed to get 2 boxes of 100 count wwb 9mm AND 1 box of .22lr 555 count.
This is the first time in almost 3 months that I was able to buy any ammo.
I live in California. Around here, there's either no ammo or its available with a 200% markup.

I'm new here. I scored a 100 r&d box of .40 WWW for 36.99 at academy last week and today I bought (3) 50 rd boxes of 357 sig WWW today for 29.99 each. Walmart has been slack. Lots of places have ammo here but sometimes expensive at pawn shops. Do people really stock up on hollow points?
