My score lately (that I am REALLY happy about) was I walked into walmart as they had JUST put up 500rd canisters of .223 ammo at $154 each, and as their policy goes, a customer could buy 3 resulting in 1500 rounds! I decided to only buy 2 packs, I couldn't justify spending about $500 right now, but 1,000 rounds is still a lot of shooting. I figured by the time I even get through this ammo this hype will be over with and I'll then be able to buy more.
What was funny was there was a guy who walked buy and not paying attention thought it was a canister of .22lr at $154. His reaction was "they never have ANY ammo here!" I muttered "well it's .223...." but I decided to let him go on being an idiot lol. Needless to say that ammo did not last long, roughly a half hour.
I am sincerely glad Walmart didn't buy into the hype, it's just tricky getting the timing right.
