The Walmart I go has not has any ammo since Tuesday. Been there every morning at 7 and no ammo. Is the shortage getting worse in anyone's opinion?

I love the backdrop. It goes very well together with your ammo.

Hit walmart tonight at the right time. They had 100ct Fed 9mm in stock again for 21.37. Got 3 more boxes. Atleast walmart ain't jacking the prices up.

I was at our local Big Box sporting goods store here in NE Texas yesterday and there was plenty of ammo in all popular calibers as well as AR style rifles and mags again. There is a limit of 1 box per caliber per purchase on "popular" calibers (22LR, 380 auto, 9mm, 40 S&W, 45 auto, 5.56, 7.62 and a couple of others) and you had to ask to see the AR's since they were in the storage room, but they were there and while prices were higher than 6 months ago, it was only by 10% or less. I bought a box of Winchester .22 for $3 and I almost got a box each of 5.56 for $8 and 9mm for $10, but I started adding to my stock long before the current shortages so I already have plenty of center fire ammo and decided to leave the 5.56 & 9mm for someone else.

There were several customers who tried their best to convince the clerk to sell more than a single box of a particular caliber, but she wouldn't budge. There was one guy in particular who wanted 20 boxes of the 9mm and when she wouldn't sell it, he asked if he could make several individual purchases. His idea was to take the 20 boxes to the cash register and pay for each box individually. She told him he could return as often as he wanted but she was limited to giving him a single box of 9mm per visit to the gun dept. However, she did say the purchase limit should be dropped by next month if he wanted to wait. He looked disgusted and left after buying a box each of 9mm and 40 S&W.

As others have pointed out, prices are returning to normal and as soon as the hoarding mentality and individuals grabbing every box in sight stops, the shelves should fill up real fast.

Glad she didn't let him buy it all up. These people need put n their place! I'm so sick of looking at the ammo shelves and only seeing 2 boxes of 30-06 and a few 7mm rem mags....
